Fifth Dimension named in 2012 Prepaid Awards

Today, the finalists for the 2012 Prepaid Awards were announced and we’re delighted that for the second year running, Fifth Dimension has been nominated in the Best Service Provider category.

The Prepaid 2012 Awards, sponsored by Ukash are now in their 6^th year and celebrate the best in the prepaid industry in the UK and Europe. Although primarily aimed at card, gift and wallet programmes, the Best Service Provider seeks to reward companies that support the industry in some form. At Fifth Dimension we believe we have an important role to promote prepaid and to help educate the consumer, particularly in the light of what we see as lazy journalism that simply highlights the negatives of a single fee, without discussing the overall benefit that might have been gained. At this time of increasing distrust in the traditional banking sector, the prepaid industry needs to step up and present itself as an alternative banking solution that is more consumer friendly, transparent and dynamic. 

In the past year we have continued to promote market leading prepaid card, Kalixa as well as winning new clients – watch this space for announcements about new European programmes we are launching. We have also introduced a European wide affiliate network dedicated to the prepaid and e-money sector.

We won’t know the results until the awards dinner on 11^th October 2012, being held at the Lancaster Hotel, London – but we’ll be there and keeping our fingers firmly crossed
